These are new permanent roles created to helps us deliver our plans to transform our CAMHS services as part of the NHS Long Term Plan.

We have ambitious plans to provide young people with equitable and speedy access to mental health care across Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. Our transformation plans include the co-production of a new model for community CAMHS including an integrated front door and full implementation of the Thrive approach. We will extend the mental health support provided in schools through the expansion of Mental Health Support Teams to ensure all pupils experiencing low mood, anxiety or challenging behaviour have access to a range of evidence based early interventions. We are also establishing a comprehensive crisis pathway and crisis helpline to ensure 24/7 access to dedicated, specialist support including psychiatric liaison and home treatment teams.

Person Specification Education and Qualifications Essential
  • Professional registration - RMN, HCPC
  • First degree
Desirable
  • Training in an evidence based intervention
Experience and Knowledge Essential
  • Previous experience working in a CAMHS service or closely related service.
  • Experience of assessing for Mental Health needs. Knowledge of common difficulties and disorders in Young People.
  • Experience in managing risk and confidence in making recommendations to other professionals.
  • Understanding of the current CAMHS drivers from government.
  • Supervision of junior staff.
Skills and Abilities Essential
  • Ability to manage time effectively.
  • Working closely with other professions and teams
  • Being accurate and succinct in clinical communication and record keeping.
  • Skilled in making needs based formulations
