Our Medicine & Emergency Care division is currently looking to appoint a Senior People Advisor. We welcome applications from HR professionals who want to work in accordance with our Trust Values.
The successful candidates will be a specialist advisor with a record of accomplishment in employee relations and case management across a broad range of employee related issues including disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence management, change management and TUPE.
In addition to an understanding of employment law, the candidates will have experience of working with Trade Unions and a diverse range of stakeholders. You'll be CIPD qualified with experience at a similar level. Applicants will be asked to work in a hybrid way. Whilst there is scope for home working, the ability to undertake work including formal meetings on-site, is essential.
Main duties of the job
The jobholder will have personal responsibility for ER cases within the Medicine & Emergency Care division and will handle the more complex cases arising within the area or from elsewhere within the Trust. They will ensure that cases are managed in a Just and Learning way and that we are inclusive in our approach.
To be the lead HR specialist for the allocated division advising on the full range of operational Human Resource issues and ensuring that Trust policies and standards are adhered to.
To interpret employment legislation, terms and conditions of employment and all areas of Trust HR policy and to provide detailed information and guidance both orally and in writing to line managers and staff representatives on such matters.
To support managers in the resolution of disciplinary and grievance grievance procedures. This will include participating in hearings or presenting any of the stages of the procedure, including appeal.
To play a leading role in addressing staff unavailability.
To work with Managers, staff and staff-side representatives to achieve a positive employee relations environment and to resolve issues constructively and in partnership.

- Evidence of on-going personal and professional development
