We have availability within the Mid and North Division, Basingstoke OPMH CMHT. We are keen to develop are teams to work cohesively with the primary mental health care offer to improve the patient of the journey, which we know improves the satisfaction of our staff.

We are also undergoing investment into training modules and offer a variety of pathways to support you. You will have access to the trust revalidation portfolio, have opportunities to develop your leadership and management skills through dedicated programs, benefit from an excellent library service and enhance your clinical skills through in-house bite-size skills sessions, reflective practice and a journal club. Your training and development is something that we value and discuss during yearly appraisals and regular supervision. We are committed to your development and career progression.

You will benefit from a preceptorship program that will support you in making the transition from student to registered nurse/practitioner, you will be supported to attend the seven core days and utilise your five individualised study days over atwelve month period.

We support staff in clinical practice in many ways, and this includes having a team of Practice Educators to support and guide staff as they work alongside them. We are also increasingly looking to enable staff to move seamlessly into roles that best meet their needs at that time, both within the service and across the division as well as within the local healthcare system. We are one of only a few NHS Trusts in the country to offer fully funded leadership and management qualifications to staff.

The CMHT’s are lively, dynamic and busy multi-disciplinary teams which provides care coordination and recovery focused care for individuals with complex and challenging mental health needs.

You will need excellent assessment and communication skills. In addition, you will carry a caseload and participate in the duty rota. You will need to work alongside other agencies to promote holistic recovery focused care as well as producing reports, completing audits, and running clinics as necessary.

You will need to be able to work autonomously in the community and use your own initiative and be keen to develop your skills in managing service users who have complex needs that require a multi-agency approach. You will be well supported in developing these skills.

** Car driver and use of car within work hours is essential.

As a registered professional you will automatically become a member of our Academy of Clinical Excellence (ACE) which has a specific focus on the professional development and career progression of our nurses and Allied Health Professionals. As part of ACE’s commitment to you, our development pathway offer for band 5’s includes access to masters level academic study with our partner universities along with a bespoke leadership programme tailored to help you enhance your competence and confidence as a leader during your early career. If you are a newly qualified registrant we will provide you with a structured preceptorship programme to support you in making an effective transition from student to registered practitioner. ACE will support you to progress your journey with us and we offer all our registrants the opportunity to engage in ‘Career Navigation’ conversations which will help you explore your career aspirations and make decisions about your career trajectory.
