A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to work within a highly specialist team in one of only fifteen Sarcoma units in the country. This post involves working closely with the Band 7 Specialist Sarcoma Physiotherapist and would be ideal for a pro-active and ambitious individual who is passionate about providing high quality rehabilitation.
The successful candidate will work with Sarcoma patients from diagnosis through to survivorship. There will be an emphasis on Prehab in preparation for surgery and both acute and long-term rehabilitation. Due to the specialised nature of Sarcoma, there is no pre-requisite for previous Sarcoma experience but the post holder will be required to have MSK knowledge and skills, and a range of junior inpatient experience.
Being a rare speciality, there will be opportunity to be actively involved in the wider Sarcoma therapist community on a national level, attending meetings and conferences, with a focus on developing Sarcoma rehabilitation. There are many opportunities to be involved in various research projects, and involvement in service development is encouraged by the wider MDT.
Due to fluctuating demands on the service, they will need to have an ability to work flexibly, with initiative and a strong ability to manage their own time.
Please do get in touch for an informal chat or to meet the team if this has sparked your interest!
