Working across sites at both University Hospital Llandough and University Hospital of Wales you will support the Medicines Procurement and Homecare Services Teams to develop and maintain a patient centred and responsive medicines procurement and homecare service.

Main duties of the job

You will work as part of our Medicines procurement and Homecare services teams. You will assist in the procurement of medication including controlled drugs and infusion fluids in to our acute hospital pharmacy departments. You will also be involved in supervising the Homecare services team and developing this essential service to our patients. This role is vital to ensure continued availability of medicines for administration to patients across the Health board through the provision of a safe and efficient medicines procurement and homecare service.

You will have excellent organisational and communication skills and you'll need to be able to work effectively with the existing team. You should have a Btec/NVQ level 3 in pharmaceutical science or equivalent, registration with the GPhC is essential, and you must be a qualified accuracy checking Pharmacy Technician, Hospital pharmacy experience is essential.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • ECDL or equivalent Microsoft office applications experience, knowledge of medicines procurement and homecare
