An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker to join a new Rehabilitation Flow team which is part of the Trusts Wider Flow and Capacity Service who will be based in Bamber Bridge.
This is a challenging, varied role, where you will use your clinical, operational and organisational expertise to the full to support Lancashire Service Users on their rehabilitation journey. You will undertake a trusted review to support the service users on their rehabilitation journey and ensure that the services are safe and meeting agreed service user outcomes.
Main duties of the job
In doing this the right candidate will have a desire to optimise the services user rehabilitation experience whilst supporting and improving flow within the rehabilitation pathway, working closely with multi-disciplinary colleagues. There is a requirement for clinical experience in the acute mental health settings with a desire to improve the patient experience and journey.
The successful candidate will be required to work independently using initiative, and applying a high degree of confidentiality to all of their work. The right candidate must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills, manage competing demands and organise their own work to contribute to the smooth operation of the Rehabilitation Flow Team.

Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential
- Registered Mental Health Nurse,
- Evidence of post qualification/experience in mental health acute care;
- Occupational Therapist
- Social Worker
- At least 4 years' experience working as a qualified practitioner within mental health setting
- Post registration experience in a mental health setting (one year of which will be in relevant specialist area)
- Knowledge of current research in specialist area and ability to implement into own and others' practice
- Familiarity of audit processes
- Ability to build effective working relationships across team boundaries and with a range of stakeholders.
- Delivering presentations to groups
- Supervision of non-qualified staff and students
