An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the Adult Replacement Care Service Team at Osborne Court.
Osborne Court provides replacement care to adults and children with a learning disability, who require nursing care due to their complex health or behaviour. The post holder will be based in the adults service (18 years and above) however, they will be required at times to work in the childrens service. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Nurse to join the team to deliver a clinically effective service with the overarching aim that the adult service users who attend the service feel welcome, safe, confident, and keen to stay, thus providing a positive experience for all.
We are a very welcoming and supportive team and are happy to support a newly qualified nurse within this role. The post is full time, but part time would be considered, and the post holder will be required to work flexible shifts including nights, bank holidays (closed during Christmas and New Years Eve) and day shifts.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to assist the service users with personal care, moving and handling, supporting them to participate in a range of activities, socialising and making and maintaining friendships. They will admit and discharge service users, manage medication and carry out clinical interventions, for example, enteral feeding and oxygen therapy.
The post holder will need confidence to lead a shift and delegate responsibilities. They need a supportive and positive attitude and will be required to carry out staff supervision and training. They will act as a Named Nurse to a group of service users and therefore, experience in developing care plans, attending meetings, and carrying out home visits and assessments is essential.
The post holder will need excellent communication skills as the role involves regular communication with families as well as other professionals involved in the care of our adult service users. The post holder will also need good IT skills to access various IT systems.
