We have an exciting opportunity for a community nursing lead to join our established team. The role is diverse and practice focused with innovative service developments and collaborative working to create an outstanding service for patients and families. You will join an established highly experienced peer group of Community Nursing Leads within the Integrated Community Teams.
We are currently in the early stages of strengthening and enhancing our Evening and Overnight District Nursing Service and the individual appointed to this post will be a part of these upcoming conversations to support the ongoing development of the service. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced community nurse who has the drive and enthusiasm to lead the team. Working cohesively is important to us and this leadership role will encompass motivating and inspiring a team.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a part time Community Nursing Lead to work predominately core hours (9-5pm ) to support with the operational duties of the service and some later evening work to support team meetings, clinical supervisions etc. We provide a supportive induction programme and personal development into the role.
As the Community Nursing Lead (CNL) for the Evening and Overnight District Nursing service, you will be a role model to the team, providing clinical support, mentorship and supervision. To provide leadership, clinical supervision and support for the team within the evening and overnight service.

- To work closely with the Countywide community Manager to ensure the effectiveness of the evening and overnight district nursing service and embed any future service development change.
- To work closely with the Integrated Community teams, Rapid Response team and other services.
- To ensure the operational stability and functioning of the evening and overnight service to provide a consistent, equitable countywide provision.
- To provide leadership, clinical supervision and support for the team within the evening and overnight service.
- To assume delegated responsibility and activities as directed by the Community Manager.
- Ensure service delivery is of high quality and operating within a clear governance structure ensuring patient safety and continuous learning
