We are looking for a team leader for our Children's therapy services. If you have proven leadership experience this is a fantastic opportunity and you will be supported by the current team leader.You will be responsible for the operational management and the effective and efficient delivery of the Children's Therapy Services, ensuring effective monitoring of budgets and agreed national or local performance objectives. The team consists of speech and language therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics and admin support, providing interventions for children and young people across Calderdale and South Kirklees.
Main duties of the job
The Children's Therapy Team Leader will manage multi- professional staff within the Children's Therapy Services and will work in partnership with the Children's Therapy Services Manager and Head of Therapy Professions on the planning, development and continuous improvement of patient care processes. Build appropriate working relationships with colleagues in services and Divisions within the local health, education and social care economy with whom services integrate and interact, and with appropriate external bodies for the fulfilment of particular service issues, this will include commissioners and wider stakeholders.
To play a lead role in the modernisation and redesign of clinical services, and support the Children's Therapy Services Manager and Head of Therapy Professions in interpreting and delivering local and national strategy into practice.
To be an excellent communicator, who confidently and efficiently manages a wide variety of situations, challenging and resolving problems relating to patient care/ personnel and resource issues in a timely manner.
Provide effective professional and managerial leadership to the teams.
Be involved in/lead on patient safety and quality initiatives for the Division.

. To analyse, monitor and manage patient / service user activity and other service performance that complies with National, Regional or local standards, targets and performance contracts and ensure the service meets performance targets and outcomes.
To manage the analysis of data to ensure the Childrens Therapy Services Manager and Head of Therapy Professions have access to timely and accurate information on all key performance indicators
