The post holder will work as a Senior LATCH CAMHS Practitioner.

The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.

The post holder, in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team, will be responsible for the assessment of the needs of Looked After Children referred into the LATCH team through indirect (assessment with the network) and direct (voice of the child) means. The post holder will also provide therapeutic intervention in the form of bespoke 1:1 work with carers as well as therapeutic groups. The post holder will also provide consultative support, training, and reflective practice to the networks around the young person. Where appropriate, the post holder may provide direct intervention to CYP using trauma-informed, dyadic, and/or sensory integration approaches.

The post will also involve some managerial and service development responsibilities, which are further detailed in the succeeding sections.

Main duties of the job

o To be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and delivery of therapeutic interventions and evaluation of the evidence based care required, including health promotion for a named service user/group.o Take responsibility for the provision of specialist assessment (within service specification), care planning in conjunction with service user and carer, evaluation of individual care/treatment plans.o Deliver specific specialist interventions in accordance with the agreed plan of care and supervision and guidance in service.o Responsible for the appropriate clinical risk assessment of service users, providing an effective advice, guidance and decision making process culminating in the coordination of any reviewed plan of care.
