We are recruiting for an Team Lead Occupational Therapist who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients to join our Medical and Elderly Therapy Team at Lister Hospital in Stevenage.
We are looking for someone with previous experience of team leadership and clinical expertise.
We are able to offer you the opportunity to work in a well established multi-disciplinary team and to develop your OT skills and clinical leadership.
This post may suit an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist looking to move into their first Band 7 role or a Band 7 looking for a new role.

Main duties of the job
To provide clinical and professional leadership to a team of qualified staff and technical instructors.
To attend operational and service related meetings as a representative of OT and Therapy Services, to advise on service developments in line with national standards, guidelines and current evidence base.
To take a lead role in the assessment and treatment of medical and elderly patients with diverse, chronic presentation and highly complex physical and cognitive presentation.
To assist in the formulation of clinical diagnosis and treatment indicated and maintain records as an autonomous practitioner and ensure others do the same.
To plan, coordinate and evaluate specifically the OT interventions provided to patients on a day to day basis, and to contribute to the wider Therapy service.
To be responsible for and to undertake a clinical caseload to a high professional standard, using specialist knowledge and skills from theoretical and practical experience.
To undertake/lead evidence-based audit and research projects to develop and enhance personal and team's clinical practice To implement specific changes to practice To write and/or contribute to service standards, protocols and clinical care pathways.
