An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly motivated Theatre Practitioner to join King's Neuro Theatres scrub team, to provide the highest standard of intra-operative care to patients. We offer a supportive consolidation period for all of our new starters, as well as excellent educational opportunities, from in house study courses to post graduate education through King's College London, London Southbank University or University of Greenwich. Our Practice Development Team provides structured teaching support to all staff, and our development programs are well established.

King's (Denmark Hill site) Neuro Theatres consists of 6 operating theatres which include specialities such as Skull Base Surgery, Neuro Functional Surgery, Spinal Surgery and Neuro Vascular Surgery, catering for patients of all ages, from neonates to the elderly. All areas enjoy the reputation of being a world leader in innovative surgical interventions and clinical excellence.
We are seeking experienced Theatre Practitioner to join our team.

The post holder must be an RN (1) and is therefore bound by the NMC code of Professional Conduct for Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors.

- To deliver a high standard of evidence based care to a specified group of patients.
- To adhere to NMC Code of Professional Conduct and standards for registration at all times.
- To maintain confidentiality at all times.
- To support patients, relatives, carers and friends and where appropriate involve them in the care of the patient.
- To be fully involved in the health education of patients and relatives, identifying each opportunity to promote a healthy lifestyle.
- To liaise effectively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the relevant information regarding the patients needs/condition are communicated to them (including handover), and that any instructions from them regarding the patients care/condition are acted upon.
