An excellent opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and passionate Social Worker to join the new West Sussex Community Rehabilitation Service based at the Bognor Regis Hub. Applicants will specialise in supporting service users who have experienced complex psychosis, treatment resistant psychosis, or a related significant mental illness as described within the NICE guidelines for Rehabilitation. The successful candidate will contribute towards the development of evidence based and recovery focused interventions to maximise an individual's independence and enable people to lead fulfilling lives.

The service will operate over 7-days, with weekend cover being arranged via a rota system. Whilst advertising for full time positions, we also welcome applications from those seeking part time hours and are open to discussing flexible working requirements to ensure we best support both the recruitment and future retention of our staff.

Main duties of the job

The Community Rehabilitation Service is a new, exciting and innovative service in West Sussex. You will hold a small caseload of service users who are cared for within a recovery focused model of care as part of a wider MDT. We welcome applications from enthusiastic, self-motivated, and recovery focused practitioners who value multi-disciplinary team work. Experience in psychosocial interventions, family work and/or substance misuse would be advantageous.

In line with our Trust value of 'People First', evidence shows that people who are treated in the community and in the least restrictive way have better outcomes. In this role you will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team, to help us to provide this opportunity for the communities of West Sussex in line with national agendas of 'Getting It Right First Time' to have access to a whole system approach to recovery from mental ill health, maximising an individual's quality of life and social inclusion.
