If you have a passion for dementia care and their carer's and have a drive for improvement Mapping, Education, Carers, Service (MECS) is an exciting new innovative that is being introduce to Older Adult Mental Health services (OAMH). MECS is the first service within OAMH which aims to deliver meaningful education, guidance and leadership to individuals working alongside people living with Dementia.

We offer extensive training in Dementia Care Mapping and Positive Approaches to Care as part of the role.

Main duties of the job

The role of the Mapping Education & Carers Service (MECS) practitioner, will be to provide clinical leadership and expertise to individuals working in the Older Adult Directorate (OAMH).

The role also requires engagement with persons external to OAMH, who work or care for a person living with Dementia.

The MECS practitioner will be required to engage in Dementia Care Mapping updates and learning, Positive Approaches to Care and others as identified.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
