Are you a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) seeking a new opportunity? We have Community Staff Nurse position available within the team, based at Shepton Mallet Hospital.
Our service covers the urban and rural areas Mendip. This position includes dayshifts and are usually 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm. You will be required to also work twilight shifts (2pm-10pm) and one in four weekends which include additional unsocial hours enhanced payments. There are no night shifts. We offer flexible working solutions where possible to ensure a work life balance and part time hours will be considered.
You will need a driving licence with your own vehicle to visit patients. We offer a generous mileage allowance to cover the use of your car for NHS business, which includes both mileage and depreciation.

Main duties of the job
As a community RN, you will provide care to patients in their homes, managing a range of complex health issues and collaborating with various other disciplines.
You will also work closely with the Hospital @ Home team, focused on preventing acute admission. You will develop a broad range of nursing skills, including IV medication administration, palliative and end of life care, complex wound management, catheter and continence care, diabetes management, PICC line care, medication administration, and drain tube management.
You will need to make autonomous clinical decisions and create holistic care plans, with the support of your colleagues and Team Leader. Comprehensive training and guidance will be provided by our Clinical Lead nurse.
