Coventry and Warwickshire PT (CWPT)- Rise - Mental Health service for Children and Young People
Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner
Permanent, full or part time positions
To be based within Coventry Child and Adolescent Mental Health Teams
The post would be suitable for professionals with Mental Health Related training, such as Nursing, Clinical psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Art therapy etc.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for expansion of the CWPT, for qualified staff to gain experience working within Coventry Rise service. Rise service is currently undergoing innovative service redesign and is now known as the exciting new Rise Emotional Well-being and Specialist Mental Health service.

Within your band 6 role you will be part of this exciting changes working within the CAMHS multi-disciplinary team inputting into clinical pathways developments and delivering therapeutic interventions as part of the new model.
You will hold a caseload of young people with complex mental health needs and will take responsibility for providing assessments and therapeutic treatment programmes for these individuals. You will have a proven ability to liaise with and work in collaboration with other relevant agencies according to the needs of the young person.

You will be a qualified professional with current registration with a relevant professional body.
Experience in running groups and assessment skills would be advantageous or a willingness to access training in these methods of intervention.
Substantial experience in Mental Health is essential and additional CAMHS experience would be desirable.

- Relevant Professional qualification, e.g., social worker, nurse, occupational therapist, speech & language therapist, psychotherapist, psychologist, counsellor.
- Current Registration with relevant professional body. Significant experience working with children and adolescents
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Professional knowledge acquired through degree/diploma
- Excellent written communication skills
- Effective organisational and time management skills
- Ability to assess and manage risk
- Substantial experience in mental health
- Significant experience of undertaking assessment, formulation, risk assessment and positive risk management
- Able to travel independently
