We are looking to appoint a Consultant to further develop our services at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. Joining our team of 16 Consultants, you will provide high quality services for patients across North Derbyshire and the surrounding area.
Applicants will be expected to have completed broad based training along with specific specialty training and to have gained a CCT in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or be within six months of obtaining this.
The successful candidate will be the obstetric lead of the Trust's established perinatal mental health team and offer a significant contribution to the obstetric rota including antenatal clinics, in-hours on call, with the potential to contribute to obstetric leadership roles when established in post.
Provision of assessments, care and treatment of emergency patients presenting to the Maternity and Gynaecology department is expected and you have the ability to work as an effective team member, providing clinical leadership, and engaging with multi-disciplinary working. You will also contribute to non-clinical roles, across quality improvement, leadership, management and governance domains.

Essential
- MRCOG or appropriate specialist qualification
- ATSM in Advanced Labour Ward practice or equivalent
- Full registration with GMC with entry on the GMC Specialist Register or training to a level commensurate with the award of CCST/HPT or eligibility for entry on the specialist register of the GMC within 6 months of advisory appointments committee
- Relevant CCT or equivalent (equivalence must be confirmed by PMETB/GMC by date of AAC)

- Obstetric related: Advanced Antenatal Practice (High Risk Pregnancy) / Maternal (obstetric) medicine.
- (SITM Perinatal Mental Health - recently added and we understand it is unlikely to be completed)
- Gynaecology related SITMs / ATSMs
