The Julian Hospital, is looking to recruit registered mental health professionals who have experience in or an interest to develop new skills to support patients with complex mental health needs alongside physical health needs. We are seeking a variety of skills and knowledge to join our team, to enrich our workforce and provide the best care experience for our patients.

Main duties of the job

We want to recruit Nurses, who have experience in or an interest to develop new skills to support patients with a functional diagnosis and complex mental health and physical health needs in an older persons service. We are seeking a variety of skills and knowledge to join our teams, to enrich our workforce and provide the best care experience for our patients.

This is a very rewarding care environment and staff report to regularly feeling that they have made a positive difference to our patients, their families and carers.

If you would like to understand the complexities of functional related illness within older persons and the physical health needs of patients, we will ensure that you receive the training and time to update yourself with this necessary knowledge base that is unique to this field of nursing.

By joining us as a Mental Health Nurse, Occupational therapist or Social Worker you will supported by the ready established wider team with our dedicated and compassionate older persons workforce.

You will be given support from our Clinical Team Leader and Matron, as well as from the rest of the team who are already in post.

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is the main provider of specialist mental health services for the counties of Norfolk and Suffolk, serving a population of 1.6 million people. We are a large organisation covering a wide geographical area divided into ‘Care Groups'. There are also Care Groups supporting children, family and young people’s services, and specialist services, including Forensic mental health services.

Each Care Group has its own Leadership team, with the aim of supporting clinically led decision making locally, to support the needs of people accessing services.
