York Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an an experienced MRI Radiographers to join our fantastic Imaging team and benefit from our fully funded training programs. We offer variety of scans including MSK, Angios, Breast, Abdominal and Neuro.
MRI in York undertakes a diverse and interesting case mix. Radiographers work closely with other health care professionals within the multidisciplinary team. The department is ideal for Radiographers who are keen to learn and enjoy the challenges of working in a busy environment.York teaches and encourages our Radiographers to operate as independent practitioners taking responsibility for their imaging including taking imaging decisions in a broad spectrum of cases.
Main duties of the job
You must be a self-motivated, flexible, hardworking and caring Radiographer with proven MRI experience.
The successful applicant must be HCPC registered with at least 12 months previous MRI experience scanning a variety of MRI examinations.
Within our small multi-disciplinary MRI Team support staff and Radiographers undertake extended scope of practice. The MRI service here at York is provided by two 1.5T Siemens scanners. We undertake a large and varied case mix over an extended working day. Flexible working patterns will be considered.
The successful applicant will currently be required to participate in Saturday duties, this which will extend to a 7-day working rota in the near future.
The current hours of the MRI Unit are 07:30-20:00 Monday to Friday, and Saturday 07.45-18:00. There is an intention to extend the opening hours to 10.30pm 7 days per week.
