An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Junior Sister/Charge Nurse to join the nursing team on Ward 3, Prince Philip Hospital
Ward 3 is a 22 bedded general medical ward, which specialises in frail patients who require multi professional input, to enable patients to maintain an optimum level of quality of life.
We are looking for nurses who have an interest in Medicine with a passion in Frailty, who will be joining committed colleagues in a dynamic and highly supportive environment.
This is a rewarding role that requires excellent communication skills, you will be joining a friendly and innovated team, where you will receive a personal induction plan, with ongoing support tailored to meet your individual needs. We offer excellent training opportunities supported by our own learning and development team as well as from external agencies including leadership development.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for leading and managing a team of staff whilst delivering a high standard of care for our patients, you will be expected to work closely with members of the multidisciplinary team, including the Senior Nursing and Management team to help shape future service developments.
On the ward, the multidisciplinary team work closely together to provide high quality standard of care and treatment, the Ward supports frailty workers who specifically work alongside frail patients supporting their nutritional and hydration needs, whilst initiating individual or group activities to boost stimulation, promote health and wellbeing which supports strength development thus reducing the falls risk.
This is a fixed term/secondment vacancy until 10/11/2025 to cover maternity leave.
