We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Nursing team at the discharge lounge Prince Philip Hospital.

This is an exciting opportunity to aid with patient flow within the hospital.

Candidate will need to be good team worker with good communication skills and works within the NMC Code of conduct.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for nurses that are passionate about delivering the best care possible, who have excellent communication skills and are willing to work as part of a committed and skilled multi-disciplinary team.

We have a very supportive environment for registered nurses with an on-site professional development nurse as well as an excellent preceptorship programme for newly qualified nurses.

Working at Prince Philip Hospital provides a wonderful opportunity, both in and out of work. The area is set in part of the beautiful Carmarthenshire countryside which connects to part of the Coastal Pathway and beautiful surrounding beaches.

Reasonable property prices and excellent schools contribute to a high quality of life. There are also good road and rail connections to Cardiff and London.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Person Specification

Qualifications and Knowledge

Essential

  • Current NMC registration


Desirable

  • Degree in Nursing
  • Evidence of post registration study and training eg. POVA
  • Evidence of post registration study and training eg. Child Protection
  • Intermediate Life Support if required in a clinical setting


Experience

Essential

  • Pre-registration evidence in direct nursing care
  • Experience of providing holistic nursing care
  • Interest in developing nursing skills


Desirable

  • Clear understanding of clinical governance framework
  • Implement evidence based practice
