The post holder will support the General Manager in the day to day operational and performance management of the business unit. You will provide effective leadership contributing towards the achievement of the financial forecast and delivery of contracted activity, to implement local / national policy / strategy and deliver service development.

The post holder will work with our partner organisations as part of the Integrated care system and will support the development of the Neurodevelopmental and Neuro disability pathway. The post holder will have a focus on building relationships with the ICB and developing services for young people experiencing emotional distress to access the most appropriate support.

Main duties of the job

  • To be responsible for the management of the identified part of the Business Unit, including but not limited to, ward areas, assessment units, outpatient areas, day case and theatre suites, administrative areas and supporting the General Manager to lead on projects.
  • support across the whole organisation relating to Children and Young People with mental health and complex needs.
  • building relationships with our system partners
  • To ensure the delivery of key performance targets within the service area as agreed with the General Manager.
  • To develop and implement systems for monitoring demand, trends and ensuring staffing levels are appropriate for the demand level.
