An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the Stroke Team, based at the Stroke Rehabilitation Unit at Camborne Redruth Community Hospital.
You will help provide a seamless service for stroke patients which will include flexible, cross-boundary working within the wider Integrated Community Stroke Services. You will also work collaboratively with other members of the specialist multi-disciplinary team.
This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to work in a Stroke Rehabilitation Unit in the West of Cornwall. You will need to have specialist knowledge and skills in both stroke and older adults combined with excellent communication and organisational skills.
We will offer a supportive working environment in which to continue to develop your clinical skills, a structured in-service training programme, appraisal and supervision system.
Main duties of the job
o To provide a high standard physiotherapy service, performing advanced assessments of patients including those with highly complex presentations, and from this formulating a diagnosis and treatment plan.
o To provide leadership for support staff and junior staff through supervision, training and appraisal.
o To participate in the planning and development of Physiotherapy Services within each team.
o To work in a variety of settings predominantly community
Key Dimensions of the post are to work as a specialist physiotherapist
o Member of the Physiotherapy team in the Mid of Cornwall
o Providing evidence based intervention to patient group.

- Evidence of further training relevant to speciality e.g. Post Graduate Courses
