Clinical Training and Development Educator Lead - Community
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Community Services as an accomplished Clinical Educator.
As a senior practitioner with specialist knowledge, the post holder will be responsible for the continuing professional practice, development, and education on behalf of the Integrated Care and Community Directorate. Through the planning, design and implementation of education, the post holder will contribute to interprofessional learning and clinical excellence. The post holder will further strengthen the training, learning and development of all clinical staff.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Higher Education Institutions (HEI), GWH Academy, other Trust staff and professional bodies to contribute to the Health Education England (HEE) Quality Improvement Framework to support effective delivery of healthcare education and training.
Main duties of the job
1.In partnership with Head of Learning and Development, ensure effective transparent educational governance arrangements are in place to evaluate education and training in HEI.
2. To work alongside the Non-Medical Prescribing (NMP) Lead.
3. To lead on development, implementation of mentorship of education practice and creation of learning environment in line with Trust policy.
4. To undertake the role of facilitator in Talent Management Boards and develop a succession plan for identified critical roles, capturing risks and supporting activity to mitigate lack of supply in the talent pipeline.
5. Network locally, regionally, and nationally with peer groups to support the sharing of best practice, which includes the presentation of complex educational and practice information.
6. Act as an expert resource for clinical education supporting clinical practice assessors and supervisors through an education forum.
7. Support models of preceptorship, mentorship and coaching.
8. To ensure robust governance procedures are in place to ensure that all learners with supernumerary status in the Trust can be assessed as being fully supernumerary.
9. To demonstrate effective communication with all relevant stakeholders regarding clinical practice and service development.

- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
- Registered Adult Nurse (Part 1 of the Register) with current Nursing & Midwifery Council qualification
- Post-Graduate Teaching Qualification (PGCHE) (or working towards it)
- Evidence of study at Level 7
- Having or working towards a post-graduate certificate in education.
- Evidence of on-going professional and educational development
