An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Assistant Psychologist to join our CAMHS Community Eating Disorder Service (CEDS) for a 12 month fixed term positions. We are a county wide specialist service offering assessment, formulation and a wide range of individual and group interventions to young people and their families/carers presenting with eating disorders, including ARFID. The multi-disciplinary team comprises Clinical Psychologists, Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists, Family Therapist, Nurse Therapists, Physical Health Nurses and Dietitians.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Assistant Psychologist your role will be to contribute to the provision of high quality specialist intervention for the young people under our care, with both clinical and research responsibilities. Supervision will be offered by the Principal Clinical Psychologist. The successful candidate will be expected to work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the teams' policies and procedures. Experience of previous experience of, or a demonstrated interest in, working in this area, is desirable. Experience of audit, service evaluation and delivering group work is also beneficial for this role.
