The Facilities Officer for Accommodation will work alongside the Facilities Team to deliver exceptional, consistent services to both the current and potential residents of the 50 flats within the Trusts' accommodation at Ealing Hospital. The Accommodation operates as residence for mostly international and Trust employed staff, it also provides on-call accommodation for locum healthcare professionals.

We require a highly motivated Facilities Officer to work as a key member of the Facilities Management Team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Facilities Contracts Team providing the skills and abilities required for the management of the accommodation booking system and communication with the local housing association to book on-call rooms. You will have the ability to develop positive working relationships with service providers, key stakeholders, and internal colleagues and also monitor the delivery of Soft FM Services which includes, Total Waste Management Services, Laundry and Linen Service and Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for the management of the accommodation system which supports the allocation of rooms. You will provide a detailed induction for new residents ensuring all residents complete an Assured Tenancy Agreement and are registered on the Deposit Protection Scheme (DPS). You will be responsible for managing the resident exit process which supports the return of keys and deposits via the DPS scheme.

The post holder will contribute to the performance and contract management for services supplied to both clinical and non-clinical services using the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021 and Patient Led Assessments of the Care Environment (PLACE) as the benchmark standards.

You will have the knowledge and confidence to effectively manage and report on contract compliance and to ensure the resolution of any performance issues in line with the agreed KPI's and financial constraints. With a wide knowledge of Facilities, Soft FM Services, and experience of working within a challenging environment, the post holder should have the experience to enable them to undertake the duties of this post.

  • 3 Years of experience within a large acute NHS trust environment
  • Knowledge of Soft FM services
