T8 is looking for a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic leader for our deputy sister/charge nurse position.
We are a 43 bedded acute medical infectious disease ward with 22 side rooms we have a strong multi professional team on the ward with very positive working relationships with our ward based medical teams. These include: Infectious diseases, Respiratory, Rheumatology, Tropical medicine and Immunology. We are an ITU step down ward for patients with tracheostomies and care for patients on Non Invasive Ventilation.
This vacancy has been advertised in accordance with the new NHS pay rate which will take effect from autumn 2024. Please note if your employment starts before the 24/25 pay scales are implemented you will be paid under the 23/24 pay scales and any backpay will be adjusted accordingly. Main duties of the job
We are looking for a deputy sister/charge nurse who is a strong leader and has a passion for innovation and change in our dynamic nursing team.As a deputy sister/charge nurse you will work closely with the ward sisters to lead on change projects to promote a workplace as a learning environment. You will develop the nursing team to ensure that they are enabled to provide the best possible care to our patients.
