We are pleased to advertise for two Senior Assistant Psychologists to join Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust's (NHFT) adult acute mental health inpatient services. The posts are based at St Marys Hospital in Kettering . These posts will be supervised by, and support the work of qualified Clinical Psychologists, working within the admission, recovery and psychiatric intensive care wards for adults with acute mental health needs in Northamptonshire

Main duties of the job

Successful candidates will support in the provision of psychological assessments and interventions with clients admitted to the wards, contribute to enhancing psychological understanding within the MDT and assist with audit and service evaluation projects .

Regular clinical supervision will be provided, as are many opportunities to learn about a wide range of presentations and services due to the integrated nature of the Psychology Services within NHFT. Depending on the demands of the above role, clinical experience can be offered in a variety of areas, including neuropsychological assessment, inpatient individual and group work. It is essential that applicants have a recognised undergraduate degree in Psychology and have eligibility for Graduate Basis for Registration with the British Psychological Society. Experience of working within inpatient settings or complex adult mental health services would be beneficial.
