We have an exciting new opportunity for a professional and experienced Radiographer with a passion for reporting plain film imaging to join our friendly and dynamic reporting radiographer team.
Our main facilities are at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital and Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital with satellite departments at Andover War Memorial Hospital and Alton Community Hospital. The successful candidate will be expected to rotate around all sites.
Working Hours: 37.5 hours a week
Main duties of the job
The post holder will train to develop enhanced skills in Radiography, contributing to the reporting of plain film images. The post holder will be an experienced radiographer, promote imaging excellence and follow a recognised training programme to be able to provide specialist knowledge and expert advice.
The post holder will train to develop specialist clinical and technical knowledge and experience to be able to report Radiography examinations. Under supervision they will complete training to be able to undertake own caseload, interpret findings, make detailed reports, and feed back to the referring consultants / relevant MDT.
The post holder will be expected to complete Post Graduate training and qualification in Radiographic reporting.
Ongoing clinical assessment/audit of reporting practice will be required to ensure competence and ongoing sensitivity and specificity accuracy rate of 95% or above.
On completion of their training the post holder will be able to demonstrate expert clinical practice and contribute to the education of radiography colleagues.
