The adult mental health service within Cwm Taf Health Board has developed a comprehensive ward of inpatient rehabilitation beds at The Supported Recovery Unit and Pinewood House, Treorchy and Cefn Yr Afon, Bridgend.

We are looking for a registered mental health nurse with experience of working within adult mental health services to join our inspirational Multidisciplinary Team at Pinewood House to deliver high quality and effective care and treatment for Adults with Serious Mental Illness.

Rehabilitation services are about to undergo review with positive changes ahead. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to play apart in shaping the service moving forward. We are looking for someone who is passionate, driven, hard working and compassionate with a good team ethos to join our team.

Main duties of the job

To undertake the role of key worker/care co-ordinator providing assessment, implementation and evaluation of individuals' care. To ensure the care given is patient centred, multidisciplinary, collaborative and evidence based.

Interested applicants will need to demonstrate an understanding of the recovery approach and be committed to working with patients who have serious and enduring mental health problems with sometimes complex and challenging behaviour.Successful applicants will be given the opportunity to build on existing skills and learn new skills required to enable the successful rehabilitation and move on of patients to more independent settings.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
