Following and expansion of the Community Forensic Team we have extended our remit to include persons subject to the Transforming Care cohort and are now seeking a suitably qualified Occupational Therapist who has experience in or, a particular interest in working with persons who are subject to the Transforming Care agenda and, have a forensic history. This is an exciting time to join the team, which is re-modelling its criteria and has become integral to some developing strategies both locally and nationally, working collaboratively with the Trust Transforming Care Liaison Team.
The role includes providing in-reach, specialist risk management advice and assessment, county wide provision of support, education and treatment to individuals who present a significant risk of harm to others by nature of their LD/ASD and mental disorder, including those registered at MAPPA and those subject to conditional discharge under Part 3 of the Mental Health Act and CTO’s. The post holder will be required to have experience or a desire to develop skills in this area. Training, clinical, professional and management supervision will be readily available.
The applicant must hold a current Occupational Therapist qualification with at least 24 months post qualification experience see job description for further information.
