We are looking for an experienced and dynamic operational manager to provide support to our Integrated Care Division at Wye Valley NHS Trust. The division comprises of 3 community hospitals and a number of integrated community services. As the Associate General Manager you will work across multiple sites and will provide support to an established management team and clinical leads, to ensure we deliver the best possible care for our patients.

This is a new and exciting role to help shape our services and will require a dynamic individual who enjoys working with a variety of different roles from different providers to support our One Herefordshire ethos.

The successful candidate will work across multiple sites and will work alongside the General Manager and Community Matrons. This post is open to clinical and non clinical applicants who are experienced in community services and are able to work at a strategic level to support our services with the Integrated Care Directorate

Person Specification

Experience

Essential

  • Extensive experience in general and operational NHS/Health Sector Management to include management of large multi-disciplinary group of staff
  • A proven record of success in managing significant operational/strategic change whilst also developing and maintaining the provision of a high quality service, within a clinical setting
  • Experience of team working and building and maintaining effective working relationships in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Fully developing staff potential through facilitating training, development and education initiatives
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and influence.
  • Evidence of sound budgetary management experience


Desirable

  • Experience and involvement in the delivery of cost improvement programmes
  • Experience of working with external organisations


Education & Qualifications

Essential

  • Masters level education or significant experience
  • 1 st Level degree or equivalent experience
  • Recognised post-graduate management qualification or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Evidence of leadership development


Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Ability to receive and provide highly complex and sensitive information
  • Able to react urgently within critical timescales
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to covey complex organisational information
