About us

The successful candidate will join a friendly, highly skilled and enthusiastic multidisciplinary team who are based at St Cadoc's Hospital in Caerleon, Gwent. It is an exciting time to be joining the service as we develop a responsive and flexible Tier 3 service which is keen to prioritise repatriation and the prevention of long-term hospital placements far from home. We seek to offer flexible, intensive and person-centred community based interventions. We have good links with our local acute inpatient units and the successful candidate would offer dedicated input to the local female locked rehabilitation unit (Bellevue) as part of their role.

The Hiraeth Team is a friendly, psychology-led team who are passionate about what we do and how we do it. The post holder would be professionally managed by the Head of Psychology for Adult Mental and there will be plentiful opportunity for professional support and supervision, including a monthly psychology speciality meeting and a quarterly Gwent-Wide Psychology meeting in addition to regular opportunity for contact with psychology colleagues working in other teams across the mental health directorate. We value the importance of having a safe and secure base to work from which is why we appreciate access to free, readily available parking, having your own desk and access to an onsite canteen set within the beautiful grounds of St Cadoc's Hospital in Caerleon.
