We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual to join our growing communications team.
You could be part of a team who shine a light on the amazing and inspiring staff who work here, the services we provide, and the patients we treat - whose lives we make such a difference to.
You will have a key role in the creation and review process of our patient information leaflets, which ensures that our patients are fully informed and reassured on the procedures they need to have.
You will generate, write and design content for a variety of channels, such as our intranet, weekly staff e-newsletter and website.
You will also assist the team on staff and public engagement events and team administration.

Main duties of the job
To play a key part the process for creation and review of patient information leaflets, working with subject matter experts to produce patient information and consent forms which have been approved by the relevant stakeholders, and managing the supply of digital and printed materials to those who require it.
To represent the communications team Trust-wide and provide communications advice and ensure brand guidelines are followed.
Gather content, write up and produce our weekly staff e-newsletter as well as write and upload news stories and patient/staff case studies for the intranet and website.
To contribute to the generation, design and production of content for internal and external communications channels.
To support event coordination, primarily for staff engagement activities such as our annual staff awards, and long service awards, but also for our annual members meeting and other events that fall under the communication team's remit.
To support the daily running of the communications team with a variety of administrative duties.

- Foundation degree or professional qualification in communications, marketing, journalism, photography, graphic design or equivalent experience
- GCSE English or equivalent qualification

- Experience of working in a communications or marketing team or related sector
- Experience of writing for websites and printed publications
- Proven written and oral communication skills
- Ability to receive, interpret, analyse, and translate complex, sensitive information into plain language.
