The Nurse Endoscopist will be an NMC Registered Nurse and will have undertaken a recognised training programme in order to attain the appropriate Non-Medical Endoscopist (or equivalent) qualification, or will be working towards such a qualification, or able to fully commit to such training in this role.

They will utilise specific skills in the area of GI Endoscopy and Bowel Screening, undertaking screening, health education, treatment evaluation and patient counselling related to GI disorders within Endoscopy.

Main duties of the job

The Endoscopist will assist in providing a seamless service carrying out routine investigations and appropriate therapeutic procedures as laid down by agreed protocols, liaising with all members of the multi-disciplinary team as appropriate.

• NMC Registered Nurse
• Evidence of continued professional development
• ENB DO3 or relevant Endoscopist course
• JAG Accredited course

• Demonstrate relevant experience of performing GI Endoscopic procedures
