MBU Perinatal Outreach Service
Perinatal Clinical Nurse Specialist
The MBU Outreach Team works collaboratively with HTTs, Crisis teams, AMPHs, Psychiatric Liaison services and the Specialist Perinatal Community Teams to enhance the urgent care pathway for women who become acutely unwell in the perinatal period.
We are looking for a highly motivated nurse with significant experience in perinatal mental health care and urgent care services. The post would ideally suit a clinician who enjoys dynamic risk management and managing complex and challenging cases. The post holder will work closely with Home Treatment Teams and the MBU.
The applicant will have a passion for delivering emergency mental health care, building strong positive working relationships with colleagues across the mental health pathway as well as supporting allied professionals and women in the perinatal period to navigate the urgent care pathway.

Please note the service operates Mon-Fri 9-5, with on-call provision provided on a rota basis by clinicians within the team from 5pm and 9pm Monday to Fri and 9am to 9pm weekends and bank holidays. Willingness to cover a share of this rota is essential.
