We are recruiting for a highly specialised position within the Trust, which requires a high level of IT knowledge with an overall responsibility to administer, manage and support our Imaging Systems. SystemsThis includes Intelerad InSight our Picture Archiving and Communications System PACS and other Radiology and digital systems at Royal Papworth Hospital Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will advise Radiology and digital management to determine local needs and aspirations for the PACS RIS Intelespace and other Radiology systems to support the Trust and Radiology Business Unit objectives. The post holder will project manage, implement, support and configure imaging systems and other specialist software in Radiology work processes and make recommendations to ensure their effective use. The post holder will liaise with stakeholders across the hospital to identify, lead and co-ordinate tasks involved in the planning and implementing of Imaging and related systems including viewing devices. The post holder will be required to work as part of cover arrangements of our radiology systems where necessary.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Management or professional qualification at post-graduate level or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of continuing education and development


Desirable

  • Qualified Radiographer


Experience

Essential

  • Have Good knowledge in HL7 and Dicom standards.
  • Be proficient in the use and knowledge of Microsoft products word, excel and PowerPoint. e.g. activity reports, charts, graphs and tables, presentations and business reports
  • Experience in the line management of staff dealing with recruitment of staff, performance issues, workforce planning -- proven management and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to communicate complex / sensitive issues e.g. reorganisation issues across multiple teams and with essential individuals
  • Experience in service development
  • Ability to collaborate constructively with internal and external partners to create conditions for successful partnership working
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Effectively prioritise own work and those of others
  • Operates as a team leader and role model
  • Flexible approach to working hours

Desirable

  • Experience in budget management and the concepts and principles
