Are you a passionate Dietitian? Are you looking for a specialist career pathway? We are currently looking to recruit a keen, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Dietitian to join our Norfolk Community Eating Disorder Service (NCEDS), based at Meridian Business Park, Norwich.
It is a very exciting time to join our service, with plans in place to develop our excellent staff team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in developing services.
For this post and you will be required to work collaboratively and independently within our service.
Developing and improving clinical care form the key elements of this post and you will be required to give expert dietetic advice and support to patients, their families/carers, the multidisciplinary team, and other healthcare professionals.

Main duties of the job
To deliver a specialist dietetic service for adults with eating disorders in NCEDS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Foundation Trust (CPFT).
To work as a dietetic practitioner within uni-professional and multi-professional team environments with regular supervision.
To assess and treat a case load of patients in line with the Model and Process for Dietetic Consultations and maintain associated records.
Deliver a high standard of dietetic care.

- To provide a dietetic service to specialist community mental health service (NCEDS), working with a wide variety of complex clients, taking into account factors such as clients presenting condition, past medical history, social factors and medication.
- To independently manage highly specialised caseload
- To undertake complex dietetic assessments, formulate nutritional plans tailored to individual need in line with the Model and Process for Dietetic Consultations and maintain associated records.
- Evaluate patient progress, reassess, and adapt their treatment programmes if required in liaison with the MDT.
- Support and advise the team in nutritional management, health, weight restoration and recovery.
- To lead on current evidence-based nutrition practice based on NICE guidelines.
- To be involved in the design and delivery of nutritional training to the team, families, and other professionals
- To participate in decision making as part of the MDT
- To liaise with acute hospitals, SEDUs or community teams re treatment of NCEDS patients
- To advise on the safe use of prescribed nutritional supplementary feeds.
- Appropriately adapt complex and technical clinical information, pitching it correctly to a wide variety of clients, relatives and carers, by use of both oral and written communication.

- BSc Nutrition & Dietetics or equivalent current HCPC professional registration in dietetics

- Clinical supervision training.
- Student Training course.
Experience

- Relevant post registration experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Mental Health specific experience
- Recent evidence of CPD

- Experience of working in eating disorders
- Experience of working in an MDT setting

- Be able to demonstrate evidence of up to date knowledge of nutrition and dietetics
- Organisational skills including competent with IT systems and MS office, managing time and workload and keeping up to date records.

- Proven track record of being able to work in an environment with a high level of change, under difficult circumstances and in situations which require strategic thinking.
