The Theatres and Anaesthetic Directorate are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Senior ODP / Deputy Sister (Band 6) to support the Colorectal team within Main Theatres at Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust .
We currently have a vacancy for a committed and enthusiastic individual to manage an established team in delivering high quality care that is rapidly adapting to meet the needs of a diverse local population.
Successful applicants should have previous experience in leading Service Colorectalwithin Theatres, good communication skills and enjoy working in a swiftly changing and challenging environment. You will be required to work as part of a motivated team as well as being able to work on own initiative. Main Theatres operates a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week service and staff are expected to work nights and weekends.

Main duties of the job
- To provide skilled specialist assistance in the delivery of high quality, cost effective patient care throughout the Operating Department.
- To participate as an integral member of the theatre team giving leadership and guidance to less experienced staff.
- Participate in the Theatre Co-ordinator rota when required.
