This is an opportunity for an experienced pharmacy technicians to lead on medicines management Trust-wide within the pharmacy clinical service. The post holder will be expected to develop the medicines management service across the Trust with support from the lead medicines management pharmacy technicians on each site to deliver the priorities.

The posts responsibilities include:
- Responsible for providing professional leadership and supervision in managing and developing the medicines management services in the Trust.
- Responsible for the Induction and Training for all staff working within the medicines management team for clinical services.
- Responsible for the effective and efficient medicines management services to wards, departments and patients.
- Play a pivotal role in education, training and appraisal of pharmacy staff.
Main duties of the job
- Lead the strategic and operational management of the medicines management pharmacy technician (MMPT) service in line with the Medicines Optimisation strategy within the Trust.
- Managing the lead and/or senior MMPT at each site.
- Tutoring role for trainee pharmacists or pharmacy pre-registration student technicians.
- Training of trainee pharmacists, pharmacy pre-registration student technicians and new staff.
- Manage induction of new staff.
- Recruitment of Pharmacy staff within the department.

- Registration with General Pharmaceutical Council as a pharmacy technician
- Significant post-registration experience within Hospital setting

- Experience of successfully implementing pharmacy services
