An Estates Team Leader plays a key role in the Estates Engineering Maintenance Services. The individual will support the Estates Officers and maintenance team in the delivery of maintenance programmes that will contribute to the Trusts objectives been carried out in a safe, cost effective, efficient manner and compliant with legislation, Health Technical Memorandums (HTM) and good practice.The post holder will undertake works relating to the maintenance and repairs of Trust properties, equipment, grounds & gardens ensuring compliance with Statutory requirements, HTM's, Trust Policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe and functional environment for patients, public and staff to support the delivery of patient care.
Main duties of the job
The post holder oWill be a member of a small group of managerial and technical staff who manage and operate complex technical systems and processes across the Trust, ensuring compliance with Trust standard operating procedures, policies and procedures and legislation.
oWill be appointed to Named/Designated/Competent/ Authorised person's roles in keeping with requirements laid down in Hospital Technical Memorandums (HTM) and Health and Safety documentation.
o Will support the Estates Officers, develop and implement working strategies and processes.
o Will be responsible for the implementation and sign off of management documentation along with the responsibility of asset management and technical support for the maintenance, routine planned and reactive maintenance tasks across all trades according to competence and skill level and allocation from Estates Officers and Managers.
o Complete data entry into paper and electronic systems (e.g. the completion of all job dockets, asset management details, time sheets and stock sheets).
o Will participate in the management On call rota
o May be required to support on-call duties during periods of operational pressures to help deliver the estates maintenance and repairs function, commensurate with the duties outlined in this job description

- HNC / Level 4 Apprenticeship Diploma or equivalent, or relevant demonstrable experience in mechanical or electrical engineering commensurate with the requirements of the role
- A recognised form of computer skills training for Spreadsheets/ databases or ability to demonstrate effective use of programmes.
- Able to plan, organise and manage own work activities
- Able to accurately interpret information relating to H& S, legislation Mandatory requirements
Desirable
- Knowledge of relevant Trust policies, health and safety and other legislation relevant to the position
