Join our team as a Band 6 Project Manager, where you'll play a vital role in driving strategic education and student experience development within the Directorate of Education and Training (DET) and related initiatives. You'll contribute towards the implementation of the Trust's strategy, coordinate projects, and collaborate with colleagues to propose new activities aligned with our broader goals. With a focus on stakeholder engagement, you'll build and maintain relationships across the directorate, ensuring student voices are heard throughout.
Your responsibilities will include project management across the directorate, providing specialist advice to senior staff, and effectively communicating project information to stakeholders. You will play a key role in embedding delivered projects into business-as-usual functions. Additionally, you'll stay informed about sector developments, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and foster a collaborative team environment.
If you're passionate about education and ready to make a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
The Project Manager position, reporting to the Projects and Partnerships Manager, involves providing day-to-day support to colleagues in implementing the Trust's education and training priorities. This encompasses managing projects and workstreams across the Directorate of Education & Training, as well as supporting members of staff from across the Directorate in leading these initiatives.
Stakeholder engagement is a significant aspect, requiring collaboration with faculty and professional service teams across the directorate, necessitating the establishment and cultivation of robust working relationships with staff and fostering good relations with the broader student body. Specifically, close collaboration is expected with the Head of Operations, Director of Education (Teaching & Learning), the Director of Education (Academic Governance & Quality), the Director of Education (Operations), as well as heads of professional service teams and academic portfolios.
You will have responsibility for managing projects that span the Directorate, gaining support and buy-in from members of the Senior Leadership and Management Team and the Directorate as a whole, and seeing through to implementation. You will help embed delivered projects into business-as-usual functions and will participate in strategic planning for future developments.
