To be responsible for operational management of the CAMHS Community service to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of high quality, evidence informed treatment and support for Children and Young People. The CAMHS Community service is comprised of CAMHS Connect (the front door to the service) and CAMHS Core (the specialist therapeutic element of the service).
The Service Manager will support the operational, performance and business management of Core and Specialist CAMHS. They will work under the direction and line management of the Head of Service for Children's Mental Health, working closely with the Senior Clinical Colleagues, the Clinical Director and Assistant Director.
The Service Manager will be actively involved in the Co-production of all elements of the design, development and delivery of the service ensuring that Children, Young People, Families and Carers are included and consulted at each level.

Main duties of the job
- Day-to-day management of service delivery and any operational matters arising
- To manage activity, throughput and case load allocation for all colleagues using robust job plans to facilitate this activity.
- To work closely with the Head of Service and Business Support Officer to ensure data is correct and up to date
- To deliver monthly Operational Supervision to all clinical staff
- Directly manage the Team Leads in Core CAMHS and CAMHS Connect
- To be operationally responsible for any new projects within the Service (for example ARRS)
- Monitor the CAMHS 'Front Door' which will include operational management of screening, referral and Initial Assessment process.
- Together with clinical colleagues, ensure there are robust processes in place for CYP Transitioning out of CAMHS Community or into Adult Services.
- Together with HR partner, the post holder will monitor and manage staffing issues when required including performance, sickness and internal complaints.
- Be responsible for the recruitment process of new staff using TRAC
- Take a lead in allocating complaints within CAMHS Community and other Children's Services within the directorate.
- To act as a collaborator with other colleagues within the Children's Services directorate

- Professional qualification or equivalent degree level qualification
- Educated to Post Graduate Level or equivalent experience
- Degree and Post-registration qualification in Leadership/Management or equivalent experience
