italk is an exciting, transformative and expanding psychological therapies service and is looking to recruit High Intensity CBT Therapists to join one of our high performing and creative teams.

We are an exceptional talking therapies service with excellent development opportunities. We are committed to the progression of our team members and our posts are formulated to allow for the development of clinical expertise in chosen clinical areas.

We are part of Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust and are commissioned by North Hampshire, West Hampshire, South East Hampshire and Fareham & Gosport CCGs to deliver the IAPT service across Hampshire.

We are a strong partnership service; comprised of a collaboration between Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust and Solent Mind charity. We strive to deliver a high quality, evidence-based, service user-centred therapy service, to the population of Hampshire. We are looking to employ High Intensity CBT Therapists to deliver high quality therapeutic interventions to our local residents.

You will be part of one of our very dynamic teams and will work alongside PWPs as well as therapists trained in a range of therapies including CBT, counselling, couples therapy, Cognitive Analytical Therapy (CAT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), EMDR and integrative therapies. Also, we offer a range of groups including Comprehend, Cope and Connect, Compassion Based Therapy and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).

We are developing our long-term health conditions pathway and working with those who also present with physical health related problems both individually and through our emerging group programmes; this offers those who work with our team plenty of opportunities to enhance their job satisfaction by learning more about this area and developing skills in working with this population.

Although the post is offered as remote/home working, the service provides regular contact in the form of group and one to one meetings to encourage interaction within a highly supportive and caring team.

The post-holder will provide digital online web camera based high intensity cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) in line with NICE guidance. We value training and qualifications in other high intensity therapies and will support those wishing to develop their careers by training in other recognised modalities.

You will work with clients who present with a range of complex anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder and depression related problems at step 3 for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective, carrying out telephone and web camera assessments as part of your caseload and in accordance with service needs and demands. Where appropriate provide supervision to the Band 6 Psychological Therapy staff.

The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.

At italk, service users are at the heart of what we do. We are a passionate and supportive team, dedicated to improving mental health in our local communities.

We are looking for new members to join one of our teams, who is committed, enthusiastic and willing to contribute to the service and embrace different ways of working as we move more into a digital age.

This post offers opportunities to work with a range of professionals from different therapeutic backgrounds and to be part of an evolving, integrating team.

This vacancy is offered as a permanent contract, with the expectation that all clinical staff offer two late online evening clinics per week (12pm until 8pm). If you have any further questions, please contact Ben Martin, Clinical Manager on 02380 383891 for an informal discussion. We are happy to discuss flexible working hours.

Interview dates may be flexible/held remotely dependent on COVID-19 government restrictions in place at the time.
