An exciting opportunity has arisen for a lead practitioner psychologist working with our third sector partner Llamau to deliver the 'My Way Home' project for young people who are experiencing homelessness. This is a 5-year National Lottery funded project, which aims to end youth homelessness. The purpose of the project is to deliver an innovative trauma and psychologically informed model of care to the most vulnerable young people in our community. The project aims to effect system change around youth homelessness, making it a rare event, when it happens making it brief and non-recurrent. The post holder will have responsibility to work with Llamau for developing and implementing a trauma and psychologically informed service for young people experiencing homelessness.

Main duties of the job

You will be the lead psychologist responsible for the delivery of psychological care provided for young people experiencing homelessness, using assessment, formulation and intervention skills. The role will include a small caseload, supervision, consultation and training with support staff and wider networks working with young people who are homeless to effectively work in a trauma informed way. You will work closely with Llamau to achieve the objectives of the project.
