This post is a Bank contract for 2 years to meet the needs of the service.
The post holder will work to provide leadership, expertise and planning to deliver the Health Board's Urgent & Emergency Care transformation programme in line with the Welsh Government 6 Goals Programme. They will interface with health board colleagues, Welsh Government, NHS Executive and the national 6 Goal programme to ensure improvement and delivery against key service development, activity & financial milestones.
The post holder will be responsible for directing, overseeing and evaluating the design and delivery of key strategic system wide programmes of Unscheduled Care (USC) work, leading and supporting with a particular responsibility around engaging and delivering on the pathways and value based care. These programmes will be innovative and multifaceted transformation programmes, will ensure continuous improvements in the delivery of our unscheduled care services, and will support the delivery of the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board strategy and its wider ambitions.
Provide leadership, direction, support to acute, and area teams to deliver the yearly plan and the individual elements of the programmes associated in developing the USC strategy (e.g. UPCC, SDEC, and cluster led stratification). Ensure the safe and timely flow of patients through the USC Pathways, achieving performance and quality targets.
Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job
- Responsible for the delivery of the allocated programme, including regular reporting and assurance of it to senior stakeholders.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of large-scale healthcare programmes, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Ensure the expected benefits (quality, performance, finance and sustainability) are delivered across the programme.
- Identify potential risks and issues related to programme delivery and develop effective mitigation strategies.
