This role is an exciting opportunity for am experienced clinician to join the upper limb therapy team.
You will have access to the monthly Quality Improvement Half Days and should have a commitment to quality together with the drive to continuously improve care. You will be expected to engage in activities to evaluate and develop practice and be able to travel as our services are delivered across a number of locations. The department is research-active, participating in several multi-centre trials with clinicians undertaking PhD study and other research training.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an OT who has an interest in further developing their skills in the fabrication and fitting of thermoplastic hand splints post injury, surgery and/or for arthritis. Prior knowledge in splinting is essential. The post will involve developing the skills to assess and treat acute hand trauma patients, chronic hand conditions, and will involve working in outpatient therapy clinics and MDT dressing clinics.
