Providing expert advice in server infrastructure and guidance across a range of technical areas relating to area of work. Developing, monitoring, and maintaining robust Server infrastructure in support of the Trusts strategic direction.
Main duties of the job
Three exciting opportunities have arisen for 3rd line server infrastructure engineer's to join our busy Technology Development and Data Centre team. The team are responsible for supporting and developing a wide array of technologies. Because of the wide range of technologies employed we would be interested in candidates who perhaps have a strong skill-set in a number of areas but are interested in increasing their experience across a broader range of technologies.
You will need to have strong knowledge and experience of implementing, managing and monitoring data centre technologies such as VMWare Vsphere, Windows Server, Patch Management, Microsoft Window Server, Config Manager, Active Directory, Azure etc.
The team manage other technologies such as Vmware Horizon / Omnissa VDI, Vmware NSX, Netapp / Dell Powerstore / Cohesity Storage, Imprivata One Sign/Confirm ID, SQL Server, Always On VPN, Patch Manager to name but a few.
It would be advantageous if the candidate had a good understanding of networks to provide a foundation to support the enterprise infrastructure the team are responsible for.

- Educated to Degree standard or equivalent in a relevant subject or with equivalent experiential learning in the field of Server infrastructure technical design, implementation, and support.
- ITIL Qualification - Foundation Level

- Highly developed specialist knowledge, underpinned by theory and significant experience.
- Demonstratable comprehensive and practical knowledge of a variety of technical environments including data centres and virtual infrastructure.
