The post holder will be responsible for providing clinical care to 13 inpatients of adult of working age and medical leadership to the inpatient ward teams, as well as supporting and contributing to the management and development of the ward functioning. The post holder will work with the Home-Based Treatment Team and Care Coordinators from the three Community Mental Health Teams in Salford, to facilitate discharge, and provide an alternative to inpatient admission.

- Work in a collaborative way with multidisciplinary teams including external partners.
- Work in partnership with psychiatrists from partner providers such as Forensic and Rehabilitation Psychiatrists.

- Provide clinical supervision for trainees in gaining core psychiatric experience
- Provide clinical supervision for psychiatric trainees in achieving competencies in core general psychiatry
Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Fully registered with the GMC with a license to practice at the time of appointment
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months
- Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
- Approved under S12 OR able to achieve with 3 months of appointment
