We are looking for a full-time enthusiastic and committed clinical/counselling psychologist or psychotherapist to perform at a band 8a and join our well established and dynamic service in adult mental health for people who live in Folkestone, Dover, Deal and the countryside surrounding areas, in Kent.

The post holder will be based at Ash Eton, within a Psychological Therapies service which includes psychological clinicians of several disciplines and trainees. The South Kent Coast Secondary Care Psychological Therapies service works closely and in collaboration with the South Kent Coast Community Mental Health team to provide a comprehensive service to adults with complex and longstanding mental health conditions and emotional difficulties.

Main duties of the job

You will have the opportunity to be involved in providing specialist assessment and treatment (individual and group), participating in multidisciplinary staff development and supervision, enhancing the provision of psychological therapies for adult mental health, service development and evaluation, and a take part in a monthly programme of continuing professional development. As part of your role, you will take the lead, supporting and supervising the CMHT deliver a 4-week CBT intervention programme for new patients into the service, as well as develop more complex interventions for patients with personality disorders and within the legal system. Training and supervision will be available. Management experience is also available for interested candidates with opportunities to develop leadership competencies and skills.
